You know, if you already have sheets, wall hangings and mobiles, I would just go with it - You can't use the comforter on a baby anyway - and they don't recommend bumper pads now either (both are considered a suffocation hazard), so just get the rest of the cute stuff and put your baby in a sleep sack for warmth.

For those who have done the glucose tolerance test: Is it okay to drive after? From what is sounds like, some of you have gotten a little woozy. I am supposed to have my 26wk u/s, OB visit, & glucose tolerance test on Friday but we drive to Seattle and then I drop off DH at work and come home (~ 25-45min drive depending on traffic). Would I reasonably be able to do that? Or should I do at the hospital by my house (same affiliation, 5min away)?

My sincere apologies for those of you who have glucose tests scheduled soon!!

PPP- I would say most people are fine to drive afterwards. I would typically go and eat a sandwich or something right afterwards, and my Dr. even recommends bringing a granola bar or something similar with you to your appointment, but most people don't have a major problem with the 1 hour test.

Good luck to both of you!!

I was fine to drive...just a little queasy but deff not dizzy or shaky or anything. I would eat right after then go home and take a nap! I crashed like an hour and a half later. Like a kid that ate way too much sugar...hyper, queasy, then naptime! I did get a headache after...not terrible but the nap deff helped!

PS-got my results 2 days later and everything was perfect! Thank goodness... GOOD LUCK YOU GUYS!

I took my mother with me just in case. I didn't need her to drive - I actually drove to and from the doctor's office without any problems. If I had been driving crazy, she would be the one to tell me.

I was ok to drive.. Although I didn't have the drink, I had to eat 18 jumbo jelly beans in less than 2 minutes. My jaws sure got tired though!!

Had my 34 week appointment today. She has been measuring right on, but this week she measured a week ahead! I could have told them that she had a growth spurt. My belly has gotten tighter and it's all I can do to get comfortable enough to sleep.. She wiggled ALL night long last night. I guess we are both getting cramped for space

... My next appointment in two weeks is an ultrasound (Yay), I hope to see her face this time! Plus I will have another blood test (not sure why) and the lovely Strep B swab.. I am not looking forward to that. Guess I better start getting used to showing my bits and pieces though, huh?
