Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

Thanks everyone.

We had a good first night home. I'm a co-sleeping, breast-feeding mama, so it makes it a lot easier at night. My husband commented this morning that he didn't hear her wake up and cry even once last night. I told him because she didn't.

I slept on my side with her cradled against me so when she woke up and was hungry, she just had to root until she found her meal.

Course, I did have to wake up enough to help her latch on, and I did have to get up and change her diaper a couple times, but even at that - I got more sleep last night than in the two nights at the hospital.

Baby Girl had her breakfast just a little bit ago and now she's sleeping in her bassinet.

I'm working on her birth story, and I also have a story about my second day in the hospital and student nurses - it was awful!

What a wonderful update! SO glad you are all home and doing well!! We have alot in common it sounds like- I have co-slept and breast fed all 5 of my babies. I am not sure if I will be co-sleeping full time with this one though, but only due to exhaustion. I know I will be more tired than ever and I dont want to take any risks (yes, I acknowlege there are risks with co-sleeping), so I am planning on trying to only do so when I feel like I can be alert enough to feel baby squirming for food!

Will be looking forward to your birth story.

Student nurses? Oh no! That can be scary!! I remember telling anyone and everyone who walked into my hospital room- "I DO NOT want ANYONE who is not fully accredited working on me or my baby- NO STUDENTS!!" I said it over and over. I know they have to learn and need real life experience, just not on me or MY baby! Guess Im a bit paranoid, Im positive they wouldnt let someone in the room who had no training or education, but still.....

student nurses or not.... a RN tried to send me home when I was pregnant with the last baby because my 5 min. contractions we not doing anything to my cervix ( I was 4 CM) and Blake was 6 weeks & 1 day early. I had been in the hospital the night before with a temperature, dehydration and vomiting..... I had Blake an hour later. I told them I wasn't leaving.

I am so jealous.... a baby girl! Hope you come to Columbus so I can see her.

Adorable baby girl QA! I'm hoping for a girl next time around

Wyatt is almost 14 months already and I've been stalking this thread ever since I was preggo with him. Now we're trying again! Well, considering that we've only "tried" once this whole month b/c of our hectic schedules (and I was out of state around the time of ovulation) I guess we're not really trying that hard yet.

However, I'm off BC and ready whenever. It would be great if I got preggers again in Nov. so the babes are exactly 2 yrs apart, but any time in the next few months would be ok. I just don't want to be having the next one during hunting season or DH won't be there for the birth.

Good luck to everyone who's getting close!

She is looking even more gorgeous every week RFF!!! Pics like these make me want my baby here now! Is being a mother even more wonderful than you thought it would be?
