Don't panic, I lost my mucus plug strung with blood (Not as much as you though) 3 times in three weeks before I finally went into labor. It regenerates. the last time I lost my MP, was when I was already in labor at the hospital. Good Luck

No mucus plug for me yet. On Weds I was dilated to a 1 and 80% effaced. I am 36 weeks but measuring at 37, although according to my Dr. None of this means I will have him early. He will come when he comes I guess. My BH are CRAZY though and I have been nauseous for 4 days now

We're 12 weeks today...... Seems SO far away but I guess I shouldn't be complaining and just enjoying our time as three while it's still here. Hope everyone is well. Can't wait to see photos. We're scheduling an ultrasound next week to find out if it's single or double. Will keep yall posted!

I've had some pretty significant cramping today too, which has been incredibly irritating. And golly, she is having a blast whacking the heck out of my cervix. I partially think that's why I'm having so much cramping and am feeling like I'm going to be sick. Talk about a show stopper - that crap hurts!

Hey everyone! Im finally back!

Our son was finally born on Oct 10th at 2:48 pm! He was 8 lbs 6 oz, 21 and 1/4 inches of perfection! Blue eyes and light brown hair (might turn red, but we'll see!). Cant post any pics yet, but will soon, Im still recovering from the whole thing.

Labor was actually pretty easy, got to the hospital and was 4 cm dialated, walked about an hour, got my epidural, and was pushing him out just 3 hours later! No pain at delivery and only took 3 pushes to bring him into the world and my arms. It was a beautiful, serene, easy birth. I cant say enough how wonderful the birth experience was.

His name is Spencer Kenneth.

But then, things started to get pretty scary- DONT read on if you get easily upset by somewhat scary stories of birth experiences!!!!!

About an hour and a half after he was born, I started to bleed very heavily. Hemorraging very badly. My uterus was not contracting enough to stop the bleeding, despite 2 full bags of pitocin, 4 doses of cytotec and 2 shots of some other drug to stimulate things.

I had to be rushed to the emergency OR for them to scrape the uterus and insert a balloon to put pressure on the inside of the uterus against the blood vessels to stop the bleeding. By then I had lost 2 pints, almost 3, of blood. They had me nearly upside down trying to keep blood in my heart and brain. I was terrified, of course. I had to recieve 2 units of blood while they were working on me. They were minutes from a hysterectomy when they finally stopped the bleeding. I was awake the whole time and listening to them talk was almost the worst part. I couldnt stop crying and just wanting to be with my children and new baby.

But in the end, they were able to stop the bleeding, and the next evening, they removed the balloon and packing, and just used drugs to keep the uterus hard and contracting normally. By the next day I was cleared to go home. My blood levels were almost normal by then, so I felt strong enough to go home.

I am still weak, and in alot of pain. I walk like an old lady all hunched over, but at least I am home! I am still in a bit of shock and still scared over what happened, but I am trying to stay focused on the actual birth, which was such a miracle and sooo wonderful and positive. I am probably going to be away from here for a few more days as I heal and take things very slow, but as soon as I feel better, I will be posting pics and sharing as much as I can.

I already decided not to have anymore children, but after this ordeal, the Dr's and I agree that any more kids would definatley be fatal for me. Im cool with that though since I am done anyways- getting a tubal in about 5 weeks anyways.

I hope I havent freaked anyone out- my situation was really a rare occurance due to my personal factors- having had 5 kids already weakened my uterus, as well as having a previous c-sec, so I dont want anyone to think this is something they might have to worry too much about for themselves.

I am thankful to God we all came away from this healthy and alive- I truely believe His hand was on me during this time.

Well, baby Spencer is waking up from his nap and is fussing to be fed, so I gotta go! (breastfeeding is going GREAT by the way- he's a piggy!!)

God bless all you mommies and I cant wait to get caught up with ya'll soon!!!
