Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

Less than 12 hr and we'll be back at the hospital & will see if we get admitted. The contractions are a bit stronger but definitely not 'painful.' DH is making sure our bags have all we need to stay & bring baby home. I'm nervous. (Insert nail biting smiley here)

my health ins didn't cover it and I was glad I didn't spend the money since my labor was only 2 hours long, only 1 hour in the hospital before I gave birth.

NOTE TO ALL WHO HAVE YET TO BUY A SWING:
get one with a plug in function! I am going through batteries like crazy! MY son likes to sleep in his swing and now that he is 3x heavier than when he was born I am killing batteries left and right. Going to buy a bulk pack today after the swing died while he was sleeping the other day, and he woke up early cause it wasn't swinging.

just wanted to share that important info with all who are 1st timers like me and dont know simple stuff like that. Now, both my swings were given to me and I couldn't have afforded to get a brand new one, but if I could...AC adapter all the way!

Good luck pitter patter palace! Enjoy your stay in the hospital with your new precious gift!

A friend of ours just gave us one for Peyton that plugs in! It's a starlight papasan swing from Fisher Price. New, these things are crazy expensive! but I've seen some good deals on used ones (ours is used and works just fine!)

I have a papasan swing made by fisher price and he loves it, in in sleeping away right now. He missed it all day yesterday cause it didn't have batteries. I didn't realize how much he likes it (and the location is right in the living room so he can see me walking about). I am actually giving up one of my swings to my mom cause she watches him during the day and needs one. I thought I was gonna give her the fisher price one, but after yesterday I have changed my mind! The graco is going to moms!
He likes to swing side to side over front and back. ok...guess I should go back to the new human baby thread

well, while I am sharing...check out the Sleep Sheep they have a babies r us, it attaches to the car seat or anywhere, it makes noise that really helped shane fall asleep when he was little. Mine does waves, rain, stream and whale (which I hate the whale, why is that soothing to anyone?). Another one of those things that I would not have made it without, especially when he was real little.

I will share if I think of anything else that has been awesome, in 2 weeks he will be 6 months old! Gonna miss being pregnant this winter...now I have wood duties again. It was annoying not to get wood myself last year, but now that we have a big pile to stack I feel a little different
