Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

We're not doing shots! Peyton is supposed to start them next month, but I told the office we are delaying (at least until she is 1).

They are NOT happy with me!

My 3 yr old was never vaccinated until recently, and we just started the DTP. He has to have 2 more to be considered vaccinated, but I wasn't happy with my DH for telling them to start the DTP so I doubt that I'll get them finished.

So I had my 38 week apt yesterday and my BP was high again so I am about go go in for another NST and BP monitoring session. They are thinking I MAY have Preeclampsia, but no protein in the urine? I thought you had to have protein? If my BP is high or anything looks off with baby I will be sent for an ultrasound and possibly have to have an induction scheduled before my due date (11/10/11). Last week when I went for a NST I was there for almost 4 hours so hopefully it will not be so long this time and everything is ok. Hubby will be coming this time though so at least I will not be alone.
Does anyone know what else could cause high BP in the last month? I was perfect the whole pregnancy until 36 weeks.

grandaughter Lilly went for her 2 month check up and her shots... she has to go back for a weight check in 1 month. she has only geigned 2 lbs since birth. her belly is rounded and she is really long. she went from 18.9 inches to 22 inches.doctor says she may be taking after her mom and not her dad. her mom was always on the very thin side until she had Lilly.. she eats 4-6 oz every 3-4 hours...they also changed her formula to one for sensitive stomache.her heart murmur is still significant. she goes back to see the cardiologist in december.

Mine was fine too until the 37w appt (tech 36w6d) but I did show proteinuria & was Dx with preeclampsia after the 24hr urine. They gave magnesium sulfate during delivery to prevent seizures.
Most likely should be ok- could just be gestational hypertension but could turn to something more serious like preeclampsia, HELPP, or eclampsia.

Not to freak you out but have them check your platelets.

Thanks for the suggestion...I will ask at my next apt on Monday for sure. Everything was good today but they are having me do weekly NST and apts on different days so that they can monitor me 2x/week until he comes. I was at the Hospital for an hour and a half and he looked great the whole time. He was moving and his heart rate was right where it should be. My urine was fine (no protein) but had a little blood which they said was normal after a cervical check which I had yesterday. They took my BP every 15 mins and it was in a normal range each time.

One thing that did surprise me was that I was having contractions! I felt crampy since my check yesterday but I have been having false labor on and off so thought nothing of it. My parents are coming this weekend so it would be AWESOME if he decided to come in the next 4 days!

I never had the high BP but that can be a sign of HELLP Syndrome which is what I ended up with.

Audrey eats 4oz every 3 hours. She was born at 18inches and is now 22 3/4 inches. She was 6lbs, 14oz at birth and now is 11lbs, 10oz. She's in the 50% for her weight & length but the 85% for her head!

She's got DH's dome--thank God I didn't have to squeeze her out my-you-know-what!
