!!!!!!!!! I know everyone has told you that you will feel better soon, the first trimester was really rough on me too. I lost weight because I didn't stop vomiting until 16 weeks
roll.png
I always had this overall feeling of yuck and lack of motivation. Constipation. Random rashes. OH and don't forget the debilitating fatigue! My mother also didn't recall being as laden with symptoms, so I too felt like "What the heck?!" It doesn't feel like there is an end in sight for you now, but I am here to tell you that this relief they all told us about is TRUE!!! I am 23 weeks today, and feel pretty darn good in comparison to my first trimester! I swear! I have back pain and difficulty sleeping, but the back pain is magnified greatly by the fact that my motivation is back in full force! I find myself thinking I should have done less today, never that I should have done much more like previously. It sure helps the moral when you have a big gut to show off too

In short... I FEEL FOR YOU

They tell me this will all be worth it x10 in the end, and after seeing the newborn photos, I BELIEVE THEM!!!
Welcome to the thread

(says the new Mom of a 19d old and now 1d shy of the 'due date')

I would love to go back to being pregnant. I wasn't ready to let him go but I love that he is here.

This is my fifth. I never really get sick, just queasy and if I get too tired it is the worst!

Oh its so good to see other people around with 5 kids! I'm the youngest of 5 and one of my sisters has 5 kids. I would like 5 (secretly in my head I want 5 but I tell my husband 4 would be ok) and my sisters, friends and some ill informed acquaintences think I'm cooky! Everyone obsesses over how its so expensive and how the kids won't get enough attention and that I'll strain the world's resources-maybe they're all thinking of families who live on welfare for decades.

Ugh! I had a roommate in college who's parents had 14 kids (just two parents made 14 kids, no divorces or remarriages) and they managed on the dad's salary which was under 100,000 per year. My husband brings in 70k so whats the big deal? Its not like I want a new car every 2 years, get mani/pedis every 2 weeks, shop at high end grocery stores and spend bucou bucks on new clothes every season...geeze I haven't bought more than two articles of clothing in a year and a half!

sorry for the rant, I'm just excited you're having your fifth, it makes me optomistic about my future brood.

My due date is June 24th, I hope I can make it into July though, I have 3 nephews and neices in the last 2 weeks of June.

I am feeling so much better today by the way, thank the Lord! I actually didn't feel the need to throw up and I had enough energy to do the dishes and start a project.

I am the middle of three children. My sister has seven and my brother has three. I doubt my parents ever thought they would have 15 grandchildren!

We don't do welfare or even insurance, but around here you can get a good discount at the hospital for paying cash-$1500 for EVERYTHING at the hospital except the doctor fees, epidural, and circumcision. That includes ultrasound and induction, if necessary (for me, always!

). The doctor has a sliding fee that goes by your income-I think we paid about $1000 last time to the doctor.

We have health insurance, but who knows how good it is, my sister and her husband had to pay $10 each for the first 2 of their children, by the time the 3rd came it was upped to $20!!!! That included everything from prenatal to leaving the hospital 3 days after delivery. I wish I had that kind of medical coverage, we'll see. I'm going to do my research on my medical plan and maybe upgrade if possible.

Funny thought, I was looking in the classifieds at dogs (they never have the breed I want, blue tick coon hounds) and they had english bull dogs at $2,000, blue great danes at $1,700 and golden retrievers for $1,200! I was aghast... and now, compared to the cost of your births, its seems absolutely stupid! I'm not going to pay more for a dog than a kid!
