I couldn't try it, they say on the website that if you have PCOS (Which I do) that it will always come up boy no matter what, so I didn't waste the $30. But it would have been right, LOL!

Ohhh I LOVE lactation consultants!!!!
They were soooo much help at the hospital when I had Issac and was struggling to get him to latch on.

PCOS sucks sucks sucks! I know there are worst things you could have but it has made my life a lot more miserable than it could have been. Took me 7 years to get preggers the first time cuz of it. They have also learned that early onset of type 2 diabeties (SP) is associated with PCOS. I was put on metformin in 2006 and I was still in my 20s.

Oooooo... In that case I have a question I can't resist.

What brand pump do you recommend? I'm going to be getting one so I have a store onhand and for DH to bottlefeed our little man sometimes. There's so many conflicting opinions out there on which ones are better than others... I'd make an appointment at our hospital but I'm kinda in the middle of a dispute with the OB department and it's left me not wanting to ask them for a tissue, let alone an additional appointment.

Most people like the Medela Symphony (rental) or Pump in style. Most of my moms get more milk from those. I personally got more from the Ameda Purely Yours (Which is the same as the Lansinoh pump) . But like I said most moms get more out of the Pump in Style.

If you are not going back to work and you just want to do a few bottles, you could use a hand pump or a smaller pump, but if you have the money I would at least go for the Ameda or Lansinoh. Hand pumping gets tiring. Thought the Medela Harmony seems like a great hand pump (it was not around when I pumped, so I have not personally tried it.)

Yep, we did 2 years of TTC, including fertility treatments, then gave up, and decided we would come back to TTC after DH was done with Nursing school, then 3 months later,, Surprise! A very big surprise, but a very welcomed one too
