Anyone else putting cloth diapers on their wishlist? We have an awesome cloth diaper store here that has a website with a wish list feature. And it's a privately owned small business so you're actually helping another mom support her kids. And the prices are just as good as other places.

How are the rest of you ladies doing?
Congrats!!

I've been doing pretty good. I have a ravenous appetite all day and as soon as I sit down for dinner it's gone. So I've been just sitting with the family as they eat. And I've been really into cooking lately too. I've been baking cookies for Christmas already, made white chocolate macadamia cookies yesterday. And my DH has been taking really good care of me lately, cleaning up after dinner and putting the kids to bed. Last night he even put my ducks, geese, and chickens away! He laughed saying he had to pick up the little fluffy chickens (silkies) and put them in the coop, he couldn't believe how calm they were! Gotta love silkies. But that's all for now, besides the guessing game still have awhile for that though.

Wow, when did leggings get so expensive??? I don't understand why everyone seems to think maternity dresses need to be short even in the middle of winter but not wanting to freeze my tookas off going to church I searched online for leggings. New was averaging around $20 a pair plus shipping! When did that happen?? Last I remember leggings were about $12 a pair! There was even a pair at $68!!! Seriously?!

Ok, rant over. Taking deep breaths and trying to be happy about the gently used ones I found on eBay... 3 pairs for 20.50...

I know what you mean! I have been looking for a maternity jean skirts, I pretty much live in them. The only one I found, that looked remotely nice was $75, plus shipping. DH said no way for something that would be only worn for a few months. Instead I bought a pair of nice maternity bootcut jeans at walmart.com. They were only $13 with 97 cent shipping! Though I didn't see any leggings on there, but they have a few nice shirt/long skirt sets that were pretty inexpensive. Might pick up a few more things after Christmas (hoping to get a few gift cards). I pulled out some of my old maternity clothes from my previous two, they are pretty much beat. I do still have one nice tank top, doesn't do much for me now though!

I have a box somewhere with two pairs of nice maternity jeans, some slacks and some tops. DH was sure he knew which box it was. He brought it in and it was my nursing pillow, two maternity tops and a pair of his jeans with some other random shirts thrown in for fun. So now he gets to play 'clean the garage and find the pants' on Saturday. I know they are it there somewhere...

I can't remember if you can take beno or not. I think the babycenter website might have a list of safe stuff to take.

I haven't even gotten any maternity clothes yet. Haven't seen any at the stores around here and rarely make it to the mall. I need to get to the mall sometime soon for new bras. I hope I don't go up anymore sizes. I'm not sure if they would even make the size I need if I go up again without paying a large amount. I bought a nursing bra that was to big so I waited and now it is to small in cup size and I bought the biggest size I could get. So far I've got a couple pairs of jeans I can still wear and been buying sweat pants. I don't want to spend a bunch on clothes for me. I'm starting to need some longer shirts but I still don't look pregnant if I have a thick shirt on.

Anyone know of any good places to buy relatively reasonable priced baby furniture or gear that isn't completely cheap made? I'm having a hard time finding stuff. We are being given a crib but I don't want to pay $200 for a changing table that doesn't even have much to it. I prefer the dressers with the pad on top. I was trying to look for other storage ideas today but they are all expensive too. With us going to build a house this spring out of pocket, all the baby stuff, and some dental work we will be tight on money. I went to a flea market today and seen a changing table for $15 but it shock all over and the nice one was $60 but still scratched up. That flea market around here is over priced and the baby clothes all have stains and they want $2-$4 a piece for an item. I was hoping they would have an old dresser at a cheap price that I could do a make over on. I've looked on ebay but some of that stuff is pricey or has high shipping. I plan on trying to nurse and buy cloth diapers once we move out but we will probably be here for 2-3 months. We don't need a changing table right now but I still need a place to put the clothes and all the diapers/wipes.

Craigslist was our best source for furniture. There were toddler beds as cheap as $20. I don't know about your area though. Another chancier option is to try storage locker auctions. It seemed to me that 1 in 10 lockers were crammed with kids cloths, toys, and nursery furniture. If you can afford the locker then you could sort out what you want and then sell the remainder on eBay and Craigslist to defray the costs. Auctions are cash only with a deposit that you get back once the locker is cleared out. And since the people you are bidding against are mostly resellers you will have a bit of an advantage since you aren't looking to make a profit off of it, just get the best price possible.

I found out yesterday that I'm an A negative blood type. They told me about a shot that I'll get at 28 weeks after more blood work and then again at 72 hours after delivery depending on the baby's blood type. I didn't understand what they were talking about till I got home and looked it up. I didn't know the different blood types mattered in pregnancy.

Has anyone else had to take the RhoGAM shot? Did it have any affect on you or the baby? One reason I'm worrying is cause I have a lot of serve allergies to medicine. The doctor was even concerned with my medicine allergies since it limited what he could give me.

I didn't have it but I had a friend back in high school who did if it is what I think it is. She and the baby had conflicting blood types; she was neg and the baby was pos and they were different base types too (one of them was O and the other was A or AB). She was fine for a good while but ended up on bedrest in the hospital and on some medications until the baby was old enough to deliver safely. That was a long time ago though (10+ years) so medications and treatments may have improved by now.

I asked my mother and sister about the shot and they said they both had to have it cause they were A negative. My husband is an O positive. My mother and sister said it wasn't a big deal about the shot and they would rather have it then have something happen.
