Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

Awww, How exciting!

When we told my Family, we invited them all over to my parents for brunch, which isn't unusual, as we like to get together when we are in town visiting my parents. Well just before we sat down to eat, I gathered everybody and gave my mom a gift bag. With a confused look she opened it and it was a cross stich pattern birth announcement (She makes these for all the grandkids). She looks at me and says "Wait, what is this? Are you PREGNANT!?" I nodded and my Aunt next to me burst into tears, and my Grandma started celebrating as did the rest of the family. They all knew we had be trying to concevie for over two years and tried fertility treatments, so they were super excited!!!

Now with my MIL, we gave her a onesie that said "What happens at grandmas stays at grandmas." She also burst into tears, but hers were "OMG you aren't ready tears

" (She thought because her and FIL waited 10 years to have kids, that we should too.) . But it didn't take long for her to get excited, now just last week she was sobbing for joy as she watched my last ultrasound

Not sure how we are going to tell his parents yet - they aren't really close anymore and they sure don't embrace the 'grandparent roll' with our nephews, I think that's why my DH decided we should tell only my parents for the time being. We have other plans to tell everyone else

I think his parents, well his mom, will be excited just because DH is the baby of the family and this is his/our first - but she won't be involved. Mine on the other hand - I'm an only child, mind you - had things already stocked away
lol.png
My mom was pulling things out of the closet going "Oh, I love this one! I picked it out! And your dad picked this one out! And we have plenty of these..." And so on, and so on... My hubby and I couldn't do anything but laugh, needless to say - they're ready to be grandparents!

LOL How Cute! This will be my Parents 3rd grandchild, but I am the baby and the only girl, so my mom is SUPER excited!!!

It must have been a good weekend to be telling family because we done the same on Saturday, which was also my 26th birthday. Most of our immediate family members had to work that day, but we went out to eat Mexican food disguised as a get-together for my birthday. After eating some AWESOME steak fajita quesadillas, I opened a couple of gifts from my mother and my sister. After which, my husband chimed in and said, "Well, there's one more present but we can't open that one until November." My sister immediately got the message and burst out in tears. My mother was sitting there with a blank look and my sister had to fill her in. After which, my mama and daddy both started crying. I never knew my family to be so emotional.

But, everybody is super excited.

Aww! Lovin' all the stories... DH didnt give me time to come up with anything. Once the surprise of the plus sign wore off, he stuffed me into the car and around to the families houses we went!!

Lol, I got hubby to wait until the next day after testing, but that was only because I tested a 10pm. I wanted to wait until we saw a doctor before telling, but he stuffed me in a car and drove off to my parents. I made him stop along the way to pick up the cross stitch pattern.
