Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

we went with a winnie the pooh theme cause when we registered for the baby shower we realized a lot of the stuff we like was pooh stuff. So we went with a winnie the pooh green sorta color. It came out a little more on the yellow side than I thought it would, but it still looks nice. I think cause the walls were already painted it changed the final color a little.
There were only a few themes we saw when we went shopping and it seems like pooh was really common otherwise you are stuck registering and getting things at one store. that way it all matches no matter where it comes from.

He wont care what color it is anyway

but it brightened the room up a lot and looks a lot cleaner.

. DH and I love the ocean, love Saltwater fish, love snorkeling and Diving, and want Luke to love it too, so we went with an Ocean theme. We even bought a Fluvall edgless aquarium this weekend that we will do a salwater setup in, and it will be Lukes night light. We plan to do some live rock and Anenome and a clownfish, as well as some bright colored corals, like the hammer coral. We have done Salwater tanks in the past on a much bigger scale, and always said we would have a small one in the nursery if we ever managed to get preggers. I wish we could Paint the Nursery, but we rent, so we have bright ocean them decorations as well as bright blue shelves, and seafoam green dressers.

Our nursery theme is Teddy Bears. We don't have it all put together yet but I'll post pics when it is done.

Does anyone else wonder sometimes how it is that their kiddo can kick, punch, twist and streach without breaking the amniotic sac? I swear, sometimes it feels like he should just be busting out or something he's moving so much.

Well, I just got back from my Doc appointment today. It was a fetal non stress test. It was pretty cool actually. They hooked me up to a machine that monitored Toby's heart rate and my contractions and I just had to push the button whenever he moved/kicked. So I basically got to sit there and listen to his heart beat for twenty minutes. He hates the monitors though, kept kicking them. Little stinker...

Our theme is ladybugs. Our nursery furniture is black & all the trimmings are pink, light green, white, red & black with gingham & dots accents in the same colors. If I felt more energetic, I'd post a pic...maybe later.

I had a scare on Saturday night about 9:30. I felt a gush & thought I'd tinkled on myself. Looked in my panties & it was blood! Even though as an RN I maintain calm in situations where others panic, I completely lost it. I am a cardiac nurse, not an OB nurse, so I had almost no idea of what might be going wrong. We loaded up our three other kids and headed to the hospital.

Turns out it was just blood from my cervix beginning to soften. I've never experienced anything like this before. I was even having very tiny regular contractions that I couldn't feel - the baby was tolerating those well with small accelerations in heart rate. I was so relieved!

Now, though, I'm getting a little anxious about delivery -- like I've never been through it before! Weird.

10 weeks yesterday - threw up for the first time this morning. I was coughing up some sinus drainage (

I know) and I gagged and that's all she wrote. Goodbye PB&J.

I didn't feel nauseated at all and don't now.
