dd went to the ob doctor and she is 22 weeks and has gained 24lbs already... she started out at 102 lbs and now wieghs 126... but she doesnt look that big....

ok....anyone here that can explain contractions to me? I would assume that I will know when I have them, but I get all sorts of wierd pains and discomforts so how do I know if he is kicking and pushing on something or if it's a contraction? any clues? Am I mistaking a contraction (braxton hicks) for something else? Seems like everyone thinks I should have experienced that by now, but idk.

I don't even feel my BH contractions - I had to be hooked up to fetal monitoring about a week & a half ago b/c of some bleeding, and was having regular tiny contractions but didn't even feel one of them.

When I was in labor with my oldest daughter, I remember the contractions feeling like really bad menstrual cramps, same location down low and everything.

If you feel sudden sharp shooting pain down low, that's round ligament stretching. It will catch you off guard and take your breath away sometimes.

I'll be 19 weeks on Friday, and I haven't felt anything that's obviously defined movement yet.

Anyone else going through a super weepy phase??? I was listening to some Amy Grant music - old stuff from the 80's when I was a kid - and just started outright bawling! Then one of my Sumatra chicks hatched today, and I cried again!

I haven't done belly pics yet - because I was already fat before getting preggers, and I'm afraid I'll just look like a fat lady, not a preggers lady...
