lol, I thought you were talking about chicks! now I see...human babies. well they make those red party lights that dont create heat. idk about that though

any day now kelsey...I think Luke will make his arrival before shane. I have a feeling Shane is gonna be late despite what my dr said. Just due to the fact that I miscalculated my vacation time at work and I will have to work this upcoming week if he doesn't come this weekend. I really dont want to use maternity leave to sit and wait to go into labor. On wednesday (my usual day off) I really felt like that's all I was doing. waiting....waiting...waiting.... everything is ready and I can't get much done around here without having pains, so it's just waiting....and waiting....

oh and I was thinking about due dates... and unless you were on somesort of fertility treatment that makes you ovulate at a particular time, idk how a due date can be more accurate than within a week and a 1/2. with my pregnancy we were unsure when it may have happened cause we weren't sure I had a period at all that month. Coming off of atleast 13 years of birth control I thought I was bleeding from the IUD removal, but maybe it was a period. So for this reason I am thinking that my due date could be a pretty random guess. But I am pretty sure that it wont be before the 11th

DH and I went to the doctor yesterday, I have gained a whopping four pounds, leaving me at a total of 102lbs! Heart rate was 154-ish, and other than that I'm good for another four weeks! AND I only have six more until I find out the sex!

Fingers are crossed that this morning sickness bit that I've been going through will die down, it certainly hasn't been the best experience!

Although, chocolate milk has been my best friend, it's seemed to help quite a bit. Good thing too, it I've wanted lately!

Aw- Due Dates, Schmoo Dates! Baby comes when baby is good and ready! Its really only an estimate of APPROXIMATELY when the baby is due, not like your pregnancy has an expiration date or anything
lol.png
Its been my experience that labor doesnt start until you arent expecting it and have given up hope and just decided you have the worlds only life-long pregnancy!!!
You can easily go 2 weeks before your 'due date' (as with my son, 2nd baby) or 2 weeks after, as with my first baby (my daughter), you just never know unless you schedule and induction or c-section. Pretty much you can just count on baby coming anytime within 30 of your due date- which isnt very encouraging in the last, uncomfortable days, but, hey, at least baby is safe and comfy!

Keep your chin up ladies! Your babies will be here SOOOOO soon! Just a matter of days, really! Try to enjoy even the little things- really try to focus on how that baby feels wiggling in your tummy, because it might be awhile before you get to have that feeling again, and you WILL miss it!!! If youre really having a tough time, try telling yourself how much you LOVE being pregnant and how you hope you get to stay that way for awhile longer- kinda a reverse pschcology on yourself! I'm telling you, labor and delivery is right around the corner, so try, try, try to really enjoy at least something about these last few days or weeks, they will seem like such a distant memory once baby arrives. After spending 9 or 10 loooong months of your life pregnant, it can be a weird adjustment to not being pregnant anymore. I know I miss it for a little while after baby is here. Pregnancy is wonderful and hard and mysterious and joyful, but, in the grand scheme of things, it only lasts but a minute!

Oh, and get some rest! You will NEED it!

With my youngest daughter almost 8 years ago they had her due date (even by the U/S) as Oct 8th He was born on Sept 1st and he pottied in the womb right before he was born, the head nurse said that baby boy was over baked. Now she is by the doc, 12 weeks Sunday but by me and how big she is I think she is 16 weeks OR she is having twins. She weighed in at 97 lbs the day she found out she was pregnant, now she weighs 116, and has a good size pudge. She has an U/S Monday (my birthday) so we will see just how far along the baby is and if there is more than 1. Twins runs in both her side and the daddy's side.

Now my oldest daughter (my grand daughter by her will be 2 July 14th) her due date was Sept 1st. She was 7 weeks early and by nothing my daughter did, just my grand daughter was determined to be born. She is still a very determined little girl. She did spend 2 weeks in the NICU.

Just got back from the doctor, he said that the fact that I have been contracting for over a week, Lost my mucus plug and I'm 1-2 cm and 70% effaced as of Wednesday, that he thinks Luke may be here in the next few days. He told me to go ahead and take a teaspoon of Caster Oil and Walk Walk Walk to get things going, so that is what I'm doing. He said he could strip my membranes, but prefers I wait until I'm overdue. He also said I need to have him before Thursday or after Wednesday May 11th because he will be on vacation between that time, and I would have another doctor deliver me.

Both my sisters were actually born on their due dates. Exactly. Me... Well, I was in a rush and came a full four weeks early. I can't WAIT for Toby to make his appearance at this point. I'm guessing I have at least another two weeks but jeesh... Between the weird dreams and waking up five times a night just to role over I'm going to be exhausted before he even makes an appearance! Oh, and I'm officially 37 weeks tomorrow.
