Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

We're going camping!!! This will be our first ever, whole family (plus one friend for our daughter) camping trip done all in tents! The younger boys are beyond excited and they are positive they are going to catch every fish in the lake! I REALLY hope they catch something, I dont want them dissapointed (but thats fishin for ya, sometimes ya do, sometimes ya dont).

In years past, we've gone in the RV, but we sold it a few years ago, so I am a bit nervous about this since its my first time with 6 kids AND being 29 weeks along just in tents. Im glad we got a spot near the bathrooms! We arent too far from home (about 30 minutes), so me or hubby can run home and check the animals during the trip. We're only going for about 3 days, but I think of it as sort of a trial run, see how it goes kind of thing.

Any camping tips anyone? I think we have most of the basics, tents, sleeping bags, lanterns, camping stove, fishing gear, coolers, etc. I am hoping to make it fairly easy and fast to set up and break down since my DD and I will do most of the physical work with daddy managing the kiddos till we're all set up.

Any ideas or tips anyone has would be most appreciated! SO excited!!

RFF, what an amazing shower!! Your home is gorgeous - what an amazing view!! Its nice that you don't have to worry about buying much for baby now. Thanks for sharing!

Ms.FuzzyButts - that dresser is gorgeous!! Looks perfect for your LO's room, and its something she shouldn't ever really outgrow!

Suzettex - Camping should be fun!! I do think that you're being exceptionally brave to go and sleep in a tent for 3 days at 29 weeks pregnant...

Your kids will love it though. My tip - bring an air mattress!!

I don't know if you've ever done much cooking in a dutch oven, but you really can make some exceptional food in one while camping. And, of course, don't forget the s'mores! Enjoy your trip!

So, we had our MUSC visit yesterday because my OB’s ultrasound tech said that she couldn’t see the four chambers of the heart very clearly. After her laying me down she of course picked it right up

Chatting away as she’s looking around she said that she didn’t really understand why they weren’t able to see everything – mainly referring to my weight and the fact that she got some great shots in absolutely no time flat! Even seeing the arteries extending off of the heart! It was amazing what she was able to get pictures of – I think the brain, arteries and blood flow were the most out of the ordinary to be able to see! It is confirmed that it is a girl, she is weighing a whopping 1lb 5oz, we’re both measuring right where we should be, heart rate was 153, and she said that there was absolutely no concerns… of course the physician did mention there were three things they could not 100% guarantee, but it shouldn't be anything we should freak ourselves out about. All in all, nothing is wrong & everything went well, I go back on July 28th for my regular visit and Glucose test.

..well not the glucose part.

And... finally...

Yay to RFF & MK! What fun!
MK, our next u/s will be 7/29/11 for the previa and to recheck the baby's kidneys. Looks like we'll have to take bets on who will deliver first/last.

I'm hoping our boy will stay in there to make it to 11/11/11 but if the previa is still there I'll have to have a c/s

What a cool birthday that would be!

Hoping everything works out so you don't have to have the c/s! ((And he gets to have the coolest bday!

))
Can you believe we only have three months left!?!?!?

I'll be exactly six months Friday and don't feel like I should be half as far along as I am!

I know! Time goes fast. And then as soon as they're here it'll go even faster.
I'm sure once 11/5/11 hits I'll probably be happy about ANY DAY THAT HE COMES, not 6d after the due date. But, oh well, always good to have small hopes.

Ain't she cute as a button already?

Thank you! She certainly did not want to stay still for that 3D business
lol.png
I think she knew we were watching and decided just to be a booger! I'm still pretty disappointed that she is a she, but I think the 3D thing really helped me let go of it more than anything else, although it's not like I really have a choice, haha!

And like DH keeps mentioning, there's always next time... but he's going to get it if I don't get my boy eventually!

Agreed!

I keep telling her, and DH, that she should make her appearance a few days early so she can be a Halloween baby!
