Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

I would throw in Lotion and Chapstick too, I used those a lot, but then I labored 36 hours, then had to wait another 22 for the epidural to wear off, so I was stuck in bed, unable to shower for 58 hours, so that was all I had to make me feel "Fresher", LOL.

I WISH my epidural had taken that long to wear off! Mine wore off within an hour and the pain was excruciating. Note to self: next time ask for other drugs BEFORE the epidural wears off!

I'm OK now thanks! DRINK LOTS THOUGH!!! I was in for dehydration. I needed 2 liters of IV fluids. Not the worst thing that could happen but no fun either. The nurse recommended alternating juice and water. She said Gatorade has too much sugar, powerade is better, but juice is the best since it is all natural during pregnancy.

It was about the same for me. I actually drank mine while I was driving, so they kind of distracted me from the intense orange-y sweetness of it. I don't think I could have handled the fruit punch flavor.

I had my test at 10:30 Monday morning, ate a thingie of yogurt around 11 and then had lunch at 1. After I got home, I crashed for about 3 hours. Go ahead and take that nap because you'll feel better after!

I haven't thought about anything to pack yet... All sounds good. If you choose to have the photogs do pics at the hosp, you may want a few outfits for baby.

We don't have family near by (DH's folks come in town about 1/2 time so they MAY be able to help but we haven't verified that). No other fam around. I do miss that support nearby. I'll enjoy seeing them in August when we fly back.

Time for a nap, I've pooped myself out today. Prepping car to sell it (wash, touch up paint, buff, detail, etc), looking into used SUV to purchase, and FINALLY HAVE INTERNET AT HOME AFTER MOVING 2 MONTHS AGO!!!!

stupid phone internet is so slow and takes so long to type...

All I have packed so far is: Nursing tank top, 2 nursing bra's, PJ's, shampoo & conditioner, toothpaste & brush, fuzzy slippers, flip flops for the shower, baby book for footprints.. I think that's it. Still need to pack some lotion, hairbrush, going home outfit for baby and me, candy/snacks, camera, batteries and whatever else I can shove in the bag. I'm a half hour away from the hospital, so I would rather take a little more than I need than to have DH running back and forth to the house. Oh, and I may take my own pillow!!

OK I'm super torn about what to do - I really really really like my Dr. and this is the first thing we've disagreed on (VBAC)

I have found a hospital within 30 minutes of me (currently the hospital I would deliver at/c-section at is 45 minutes away) and they allow for Mom's to VBAC.

These are my options:

1) Talk to my Dr on Tuesday (next appt) and tell her I refuse to consent to a RCS and possibly have her refuse to treat me and be forced to switch doctors. (They have said they would be OK with releasing me NOT in a snarly way, but understood if I wanted to switch Dr's so I could VBAC)

2) Not say anything to my doc and continue to see her, but if I go into labor go to the hospital that allows VBACs and just tell my Dr. we went to the closest hospital (wouldn't be a lie). Pro would be I have chance for VBAC Con would be, if I needed an emergency c-section a doc I don't know would be doing it OR

3) Switch docs and hospitals providing I find a doc that accepts my insurance and delivers at the VBAC hospital. or

4) Absolutely refuse to sign consent for c-section with current doc and hospital. And no clue what the repercussions would be out of this.

The other hospital that allows VBACS only has 3 doctors that support VBACS.

eta: there is no medical reason for me to NEED a c-section this time.

If I were you, I would look into switching doctors now. I would personally feel most comfortable laboring with a doctor that I know at a hospital which is supportive. Didn't you have 4+ normal, vaginal births before your C-section? I can't believe doctor who is pro-VBAC would push you towards a repeat section.

Yes, I had 4 vaginal deliveries, only number 5 was a c-section and that was due to placenta previa, so was necessary.

No placenta previa this time.

2 of my 4 vaginal deliveries were 100% natural (no pain meds) and all of my babies, except my first, came fairly fast once labor started.
