I was ok to drive.. Although I didn't have the drink, I had to eat 18 jumbo jelly beans in less than 2 minutes. My jaws sure got tired though!!

Had my 34 week appointment today. She has been measuring right on, but this week she measured a week ahead! I could have told them that she had a growth spurt. My belly has gotten tighter and it's all I can do to get comfortable enough to sleep.. She wiggled ALL night long last night. I guess we are both getting cramped for space

... My next appointment in two weeks is an ultrasound (Yay), I hope to see her face this time! Plus I will have another blood test (not sure why) and the lovely Strep B swab.. I am not looking forward to that. Guess I better start getting used to showing my bits and pieces though, huh?

My daughter had the strep b swab today. she said it wasnt that bad. the blood work is always bad... they always end up sticking her more than ones. one time it was 4 times.... she finally told them no more...
dr she probably wont get another ultrasound...​

I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight! I'm too excited about seeing my baby girl via ultrasound tomorrow evening! It's going to be a looong day.

Yeah, the strep B thing wasn't that bad...the cervical check was worst and HURT?? Probably because I'm not at all dilated? I dunno...but it was NOT comfortable.

A lot of places will send you home with a video, usually a DVD, if you ask!

Our hospital that does the ultrasounds doesn't video them. They're way behind on things LOL

Today is a busy and exciting day! My husband is flying with his flying club over the beach this morning, then we have our ultrasound, then off to the "city" to have supper with his co-workers at a fancy restaurant.

I'm optimistic about the ultrasound. This is our 2nd one since the tech couldn't get a good clear picture before, so the Dr wants to double-check anatomy and MAYBE if he/she cooperates this time we can tell the gender!

Arghhhh....dragging myself to work. I am thinking that next Thursday (week from today) will be my last day until my maternity leave runs out. I was going to try to work through the Friday before....but I am just too miserable.

I did find out that with the FMLA & FLA combined, (one is federal & one is state) that I can get an additional 6 weeks off (on top of the 12 I get already) if I have a c-section. So that's nice to know!!! I don't think any of it beyond 1 month is paid, though....but the flip side is that daycare is going to cost us $650/month.

which is almost 1/2 of my paycheck.

I'm going to call my insurance today and see if they cover breast pumps...I know the hospital here gives you a Medela hand pump and they bill insurance for it...but if I could get an electric one--that'd be nicer since I can't use the hand one without killing my wrist.
