Mine too! The only issue with the baby dancing on my bladder is I was in so much pain with a raging UTI yesterday

Turns out, there IS in fact a downside to one's husband suddenly taking a keen interest in my 2nd trimester body

Oh. My. I had my hubby to take a picture of me so I could really see how big I was getting and I was surprised! I really don't feel big, but the pictures tell another story. If I was wearing decent clothes, I would post them.

I'm still hanging in there, but things are getting really busy. Sorry that I haven't been able to post or participate in the thread much lately.

Tell me about it.. I felt like my pre-pregnancy weight the whole time, even though I knew the numbers. Since having the baby, I've only had mug shots taken here and there. But we had a group photo taken weekend before last and I was a little shocked to see the full profile.... Ughh!

Yuck! A dancing baby on the bladder and an UTI do not sound fun! Hope you feel better soon. I know it usually helps under non-pregnant circumstances, but make sure you urinate before having all that fun and if you can, after. I think going before helps to wash the harmful bacteria away before the fun begins!

Yes, the practice of much peeing had always helped me in the past but sheesh, this one hit out of no where it seems. I guess pregnancy makes us more prone to getting a UTI from what I gather?

Make sure to go after! That's when you need all of the bacteria flushed out
smile.png

Trust me, I work at a urologist's office and you don't even know the amount of infections we wouldn't see if people would remember just to tinkle after all the festivities
big_smile.png

And I'm right there with the rest - I sure don't feel as big as everyone says I look! People see my big ole' pot belly and immediately are like "whoa! you're going to bust!"
lol.png
And the expressions are priceless when they find out I still have just under six weeks!
roll.png

And I think we're more prone to everything while pregnant
sad.png
I've had a few little yeast infections here and there. She said that it was just because I was pregnant though - and there wasn't anything we could do about it besides abx when they showed up
hmm.png
But hey, we've got 5 weeks and some days to go, being that's been my only problem - I think I'm doing alright!!

I ALWAYS run to tinkle after all the festivities! There were MUCH more festivities going on than usual so I am assuming that was is issue. OR my pregnant brain thought I got up and went

Yeah, it seems like I catch EVERYTHING at least once every pregnancy. So far, Ive had one UTI, one yeast infection (too many sweets, I think), one head cold, the stomach flu (NOT cool at 8 months preg!) and a nasty crack in my heel that hurt to walk on! Its been a long 9 months!

Thank God everything is better/healed/gone now! I've always heard our immune systems go down during pregnancy, not to mention the weight of the baby on our bladders and entire pelvic floors adding to the risk of infections, but sheesh, you'd think we could catch a break somewhere along the line!!

Guess its all really a small price to pay for what we get in return, huh ladies?!?

Im doing allright, (on my second forbidden cup of coffee over here), I've hit the wall as far as sleep goes, up every hour and a half feeling like its time to get up and start my day but feeling soooo tired at the same time!! Ridiculous!
lol.png
I know its just my bodies way of getting ready to have a newborn around and Im trying to stay positive about it- it CANT last forever! (right?)

Just wish it didnt make me cranky...
