I don't have to much longer till I find out if I'm pregnant. I do have an early pregnancy kit but did see on the box the better the chances of it showing a positive is closer to the day of your missed period. I'm due to start this coming Sat. so I may take a test either tomorrow or the next day and then again after if I haven't started. If it took then my husband has 8 months of me nagging to help pick out baby names to actually use.

My dog reminded me this morning how much easier it was to change a baby's exploded diaper than to clean up her poop on the floor.

Best wishes! The Dollar Tree pregnancy tests are very cheap AND accurate! They actually seem to be more sensitive than the expensive tests! I have been able to test positive with them 3-4 days before my first missed cycle, where the more expensive tests said negative.

I bought the cheaper box at Walmart with 7 tests in it. I may try one tomorrow. Hopefully it turns out positive so I can blame my increased eating on it.

I took a test this morning and it was negative. The box did say there is only a 53% chance of being positive 4 days before a missed period.

A while ago I went to the bathroom and notice some light bleeding. I'm not suppose to start till Sat. which I've been right on time the last 4 months which I'm usually irregular (sometimes a few days early or late and even 2 1/2 weeks late). Could it be the egg implanting? I should have ovulated on the 19th or 20th. I seen online that it can take 7 to 10 days after. Should I take another test Sat. if the bleeding stays light?

this time around the first test I did was negative, and that was a day or so after my period was due. When I re-tested it was about 4 weeks later, with the thought "I'd better make sure, then I'll go to the doctors coz I don't like skipping them"

Well, I'm now 18 weeks it's worth re-testing after a while, but make sure it's at least a week after you are due.

It is confusing not to know what is going on. I feel bad for the women that do think they are having an implantation bleeding and have it turn out to be a period. It is stressful waiting around.

I woke up today and I've still just had some light spotting only when I wipe. Was pink yesterday and now brownish. I do have mild cramps. I'm using a liner to keep track better so I can tell if I'm getting more heavy. I've started light in the past before. I usually always end up very heavy with really bad cramps.

If you're still having only light spotting after Saturday I would take another test.

I know for sure that it is just my cycle now. Ended up very heavy. I did buy a 20 day ovulation kit last night so I can keep a good track.

Next week I get to start all over again. I can see why some people think it is much more fun and easy to have a unplanned baby. All this planning is a pain. I'm going to start using the ovulation kit tomorrow even though it will be early but I want to make sure I don't start early and miss it.

I was wondering if it is safe to be still taking prenatals seeing how I'll be trying again? I didn't know if it would be dangerous taking them over to long of a time without being pregnant.

Does anyone have any labor stories they would like to share or their newborn baby pictures?

Prenatals are vitamins, so I would think it couldn't hurt to be taking them, even if you aren't pregnant.


My friend Sarah found out last week that her baby has died. She was 18 or 19 weeks (due in October). She hadn't felt the baby moving and went to the doctor where they confirmed it.

They have 1 girl (age 12) and 5 younger boys-they were really hoping this was another girl, but I'm not sure they know yet what it was.
Another friend was pregnant, but suspecting something was wrong. They did an ultrasound and confirmed it-everything formed properly except there was no baby. They told her she could wait and miscarry on her own, or do a D&C. She chose to wait. Last week she went back to the doctor and they did another U.S. and told her that because of the way things looked, there was a great risk of hemorrhaging so she really should do a D&C. She scheduled it for last Friday morning. Friday morning, as she was getting ready to leave, she started bleeding very heavy so they left early. Her husband called the hospital and a nurse told them to stop at the nearest fire station and get an ambulance-which saved her life. When they arrived at the hospital, she was losing consciousness. Her blood type is A-, which is extremely rare, and they had none available. They did a transfusion into her jugular vein of another blood type, and then did the D&C. She was in ICU over the weekend in critical condition, but she came home yesterday-very weak, of course, but doing much better!

Thank the Lord for miracles!

It makes me appreciate the healthy baby that I will soon be able to bring home even more (aches and pains and all!)!!!
