Eye ointment

What is the best eye ointment to have on hand for eye colds or irritation.

Most feed stores sell an ophthalmic antibiotic ointment for all livestock.

You can also use people eye drops and ointments. Even a simple triple antibiotic ointment for injuries will work in the eye, also.

I and my friends have had cataract eye surgeries, and I use those leftover drops for chicken eye infections.

Terramycin eye ointment is, I think, what azygous is referring to above, available at most tractor supply's and feed stores, you may have to ask, it's a small tube in a small yellow box.
