Next weekend is the Hopkinton fair. We live right by it like I can hear all the going ons from my house.
Love the fairs. Their chicken area is kind of small and hardly any room to move..
But they got fair food so nom nom nom

The Deerfield fair here is in Sept/Oct my fave. I love going to the fair in cool weather. And their poultry area oooh so nice. So many different types of chickens. I spent so long in there last year.

There are always certain things I need to get at the fair. Blooming onion . some Yankee cheese. Carmel apple .
And some little neat item

I just enjoy all the sights and sounds the animals .And the smells

Who else loves the fair

I love fairs but, haven't gotten to any in a million years. I used to follow all the art's N'craft shows till I'll noticed a lot of vendors were selling the exact items Dollar Tree had - but, at greatly inflated prices. What a ripoff.

Years ago got beautiful sun catchers, wooden cut outs of Lady & the Tramp, and other characters.

Just a few days ago, my family and I had gone to the Union fair in Maine. It's less rough of a crowd and more of an agricultural persona- which you hold onto when you find in that area of Maine.

Monster trucks and demo derby are my biggest favorite... oops, I won't leave out the cotton candy either. Blue tongue and all, I roam my own cottony fluff world and sometimes forget I'm at the fair.

I can see exactly what you mean with the ripoffs. As much as I had enjoyed the Union fair, there were a few sketchy things. A shirt (military advertisement of support) for 30 bucks. Not even cotton. Sadly, I could see the untruthfulness in the seller's eyes. And that's not something that sits well with me. Especially since it had been a military booth. :hmm
