So much of society is parasitic, and there are many individuals who seem to essentially be slaves to it. They exchange their efforts for tokens that are needed to meet their basic needs and which can be used hedonistically, while not working on anything original or truly meaningful. Some stay because they are comfortable and because it'd be risky and difficult to do something meaningful, while some have no real choice but to stay.

Did I ever say it was? I know that there is plenty "wrong" with me, but it's not something that I chose. There are many people in similar situations who are also irritated by the typical platitudes.
