Pain. And soreness.
Spent a large portion of the morning yanking out weeds in the yard. Since I can't free-range this year due to that damn fox, they've taken over. In a lot of cases, they are taller than me!
One weed in particular I was aggressively eradicating, and then I found out it's edible. Especially it's berries. It's called Black Nightshade and so I thought it would be poisonous and didn't want to risk my animals or grand kids eating them. But I decided to check afterwards and DOH!
Not only are the berries edible, but so are the leaves. The berries are good raw or can be made into jam and stuff. So now I gathered all the yanked plants and put them in a bucket of water in the hopes of ripening the mass of berries on them. At least it's a vigorous plant and there are still tons of them around!
