Hopefully it starts warming soon and she can get outside.

I wish!! Tomorrow, we're having another snap freeze, going from -2 to -18 overnight. The rest of the week will be cold, with nasty overnight temps.

Usually, there's no relief around her from the cold until late March to early April.

We are still pretty cold at night too, lots of -12C too lately and in the forecast. Day time highs are above freezing at least. It's still January, not much more to be expected I guess.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind temperatures like that. After all, I'm sleeping at night!

I sleep like a baby in the winter, I keep the bedroom around 12C every night. Come summer I am miserable once the room gets above 18C!

I also love winter, the long nights, cold temps, low humidity. I could move further north and be completely happy!

I love the long dark nights too, quiets the brain. The long summer sun is too much for me!

Give me neutral temperatures all year round and I'll be happy, lol! Something between 18c and 23c. That would be wonderful!!!

Wind has really picked up. Gusts are blowing things over. Not sure who to believe though, one weather service says gusts up to 80 kph, while another has is as under 30 kph.

Birds have their shelters to retreat to if it gets to be too much for them.

I'm annoyed. We get nice (for the season) ambient temperatures hovering just below freezing, but it's ruined by wind chill!

I am also annoyed at the bird breeders' society I joined last year. I TOLD them I don't do Facebook (or any other social media) and they said they would send me info via e-mail. Not once in the past year have I received anything from them. And today I find the announcement for the Spring Auction on the local online classifieds.

I will be giving them a piece of my mind (not too big of one, I have to hang on to what I have left!).

We've got wind coming in too today. It's still too freaking cold at night too, -11C overnight last night, I will probably kick myself for saying this, but where are the warmer temps!

Already had a power flicker just a few moments ago. I am seriously worried. At least I have a full propane tank in case I have to use the stove to keep warm.
