Falling Down Heights, my daily life

I am excited for your local rabbit show. I have never been to a rabbit show before and it sounds interesting. Please take a one or two (or a few more :p) photos for us as I am curious to see the goings-on. Are there different categories, like for example 'the rabbit that jumps the highest' or 'the rabbit that jumps over huddles in the fastest time' ?

Thank you for your report back on your living arrangements. I am glad that you are safe.
:hugs
No, not that kind of show. It's very similar to a cat show, from what I know. Different 'rings' (basically a table where the judge takes the rabbit out of it's cage and compares it to the SOP), and rabbits are ranked compared to others of their breed and colour. Then final judging for Best in Show and Best Opposite (other gender) In Show.

I'll try to get some good pictures! It'll be nice to go out.

That show nearly killed me... As in, I'm getting too old and out of shape for this kind of stuff, lol!

Here are some pics:

The castor Standard Rex doe that I bought. :) Excuse my old rusty cage, and the fact that her coat looks terrible because she is shedding right now.

Overall, I had a good time, although my feet hated me by the end of the day.

My little Belgian Hare did not do well, but I got good info on what to look for. Not that I really plan on breeding her, she's more of a pet.

The blue Rex did okay, I knew she wasn't up to type but she got good comments. She also, by default, won Best of Variety in her three rings, due to the only other blue being disqualified, lol! But she didn't finish, which was okay.

Next year, I'll be better prepared! :D
