Falling Down Heights, my daily life

Got this mug from sister

it's not the falling down it's the landing that can break you

Well now, don’t even need to fall to get a good body sprain - just stepped in cecal poop and skidded across the barn floor - these old hips can’t take that hahahaha!

Yup. An aging body is not a fun thing! :P

I found an exercise that helps with hips and actually managed to sleep on my left side last night. Usually, if I lay on that side, I have to turn over within a few minutes due to pain.

Good for you! I am really happy when I see people who do a specific exercise to help with pain and mobility. Too often Drs are just not good at explaining how exercising helps mobility. They just shove pain meds at their patients.

Don’t get me wrong I am a firm believer in pain management, it’s vicious circle really, you have pain, don’t do anything have more pain, do less, and before you know it you’re still n a wheelchair. I always told my patients when I was still a Nurse to take their pain meds and do their exercises.

♥️

Please share.
I have been trying stretches to help my hips and knees. I think they are helping, but it may all be in my head.

I think every older person should see a PT regularly like going to the dentist or whatever.

Ready for the freezing rain there CW?

We are now under a blizzard watch also - 😳

Only 147 days till May 2 4…..

:th
No blizzard around here, but we're going from a high of +2 right now, to -15 in less than 12 hours. Also some light snow for the next couple of hours. Fun.

I a-salt-ed the driveway and back porch and the vehicles have been chipped out of their ice skins. I feel bad for the rabbits, but they seem to be doing just fine with all these stupid weather non-patterns.

If she knew what she's missing now that she's an indoor chicken, my little OEGB hen would be thanking her lucky stars!
