The difference is mainly in the purpose hatcheries breed them to. Hatcheries breed for meat (most times this doesn't work and their barred rocks are the size of leghorns) and high egg rate (this they are very good at doing).So is the difference due to bad lineage and hatcheries not caring/breeding to standards?

I think your bird has 'frosting' on its feathers so it appears to be Red Laced White when really it is genetically White Laced Red lolDo you have any pictures of pure red laced white cornish? I have some from the hatchery and they are just red and white birds to me, I don't think most of their feathers are "laced" some of them actually have stripes like a barred rock
