I love their lacing. It is so goregous! I need to start winnowing down my chicks though. I hatched 40 some this year and need to get down to next year's breeders. There really is, they are fantastic flock builders
It would be, but would take 3 times longer to do@BlackHackle
Would it be possible to post the images side by side for each class?
Yea, those hatcheries only care about money that's allThat welsummer hen from hatchery stock has a COMPLETELY different body type.![]()
That's just so they can mark up the price. BS stuff.I got some silver leghorns from a hatchery that claims they are very high show quality, they are still young cockerels but I will still send some pics to see what you guys think. I have a feeling that I would lose if I ever brought them to a show. Also, I ordered 5 hens and got 4 roosters and a hen, from a hatchery that claims to have 90% accuracy with sexing. brb
Yup. We bought an exhibition Lhasa Apso male off a famous breeder then bought another off a backyard breeder and they looked like totally different dogsIt's the same in dogs and cats too. Most dogs you see as pets look nothing like what the breed standard calls for or what you will see being owned and showed. It's what most call backyard breeders. They just want the money and don't care about the standard.
.... I am going to run through all the appearances of famous breeds sold as pure breds at hatcheries and compare them to what they actually should look like if they were pure breds.
In the end, it is due to bad lineage like you said. They don't sell 100% pure bred birds
I was just thinking about that lolHow about some Barnevelders?![]()
