Hi! I loved discovering this forum, because the care you all have for your animals shows up in every page.
I‘m a first-time chicken keeper looking for a breed that is really friendly, docile, quiet, (perhaps the chicken equivalent of a sweet friendly dog?
and good egg-layers. The color of the eggs doesn't matter!
Would definitely prefer a bantam because they would need to do well in a relatively confined space (outdoor deck with shelter)
My research so far has guided me towards Faverolles and Brahma, and I was wondering:
1. which is the quietest?
2. Which does best in confinement?
Is there such a thing as a Faverolles/Brahma mix ? Would that be a good idea?
Any answers would be greatly appreciated!
