If using Captain Jacks (0.5% concentrate) one must get the proper spinosad %. To do so it means you have to mix as follows:

One gallon (128 ounces or 3785 ml)
Add 757 ml (25.6 ounces) Captain Jack's to 3028 ml (102 ounces) water

One quart (32 ounces or 946 ml)
Add 190 ml (6.4 ounces) Captain Jack's to 756 ml (25.6 ounces) water.

I believe it.

They are firm.... Or full feeling. Not hard. They are for sure not squishy.

I am gonna look at the numbers better when I'm home. I bought the big bottle so I would have enough to increase the consitration. I can still order the other stuff but because I knew the mites were no joke. I will use the captain jacks regardless (on plants). Thank you for looking that up for me.

I'm funny about number, lol, and enjoy doing a little math. Elector PSP is 44.2% (442 mg spinosad per 1 ml), and it's supposed to be mixed at ~9 ml per gallon.

9 x 442 = ~3978 mg per spinosad per gallon

If I'm understanding you right it's 5:1 ratio? ML : gal .... Haha I was an art major :/ ... Trust me I appreciate a person who can have a lol fun with numbers! the instructions for jacks reg. Garden dose Said 2tsp:1gal so I did 6:1... Do I need to go stronger? I just re read your original explination, and I think I'm confused again. Thanks for your patience too I can order the other stuff if I don' have enough captain jacks, but I still wanna give a good dose tomorrow... Having new babies, and Vern

So I am back home again. Havent touched base with the vet yet. He does call back id he doesnt get you the first time. I have gotten calls as late as 10pm. He is a busy guy, but also the best my area has to offer. If I don't hear from him tonight I know I will get a call in the AM. For now I'm stayi,g up. Vern on the other hand is behaving as good as ever. She has been practcing roosto,g with her little ones the past few days, and tonight they are on the "on the big girl" roost together! I'm proud of her. It feels good to have some support. I should have signed up for the forum sooner. With the mites, and Vern's poor bum.

I obviously hope not. Having worked in health care I do recognize that it could be worse than I hope. Thanks for the support and good vibes. I'm staying hopeful. She is so tough.

As for everyones mite situation it still appears improved but deff. Not gone. I will bath Vern tomorrow/talk to vet/ask re antibiotics for Vern, deep clean coop including spraying with revised spinosad ratios, and by the high test spinosad if I have too.
