I see infomertials for a steamer thingy......like a hot steam mop on a stick with just a cloth cover you can wash? Is that what you have? That thing look really interesting, but doesn't that cloth get dirty really fast? I love the idea of cleaning with just water, what could be safer than that? But I'm picturing I'd need about 10 of those cloths just to get through the entryway (I have two teenage boys and five dogs, need I say more?)
Usually I just add a little elbow greece to the water, but those steamers look cool. I always wondered what a 'real' person thought about them.................or someone not being paid to say they like it!
No, my steamer is the Wagner power steamer. It has "tank" that is on the floor (no lifting or holding water while you clean) and has wheels. There is a long hose with a trigger you use to blast the steam. You can use any kind of cloth to clean with. I have one of those floor steamers too, picked it up at a rummage sale minus the cloth for $2, it is more a pain to use. I use rags cut to fit, but yes I could see how you would need a lot of them. 3 teens here and 2 dogs....I can relate!
I use the wagner steamer to clean counters, appliances, cabinets etc......just not the floor
