All we have are 2 purebred runner ducks (a blue and a fawn and white), runner mixes (ranging from dark-brown, lighter tan, and dark-brown with white markings), 3 purebred Pekins, a purebred Khaki Cambell, and that's it!

I bet it is, although for me it’s already so funny to watch my runners run across the pasture like penguins or bowling pens!

Our flock started out as three ducks, two females and one male, flew into our yard, so we began feeding them, and eventually, they stayed and multiplied. Our first hatch was 17 ducklings.

That is the fun part of that breed!

Yeah. I couldn't pick just one breed. And then I kept wanting to try other breeds... . I have a feeling I will try other breeds in the future.

That’s great, that’s one great thing I’ve found with runner ducks, they reproduce very well for me. Many of mine actually brooded their very own ducklings too. I’ve gone from 8 back in 2017 to 30 adults now. Which I’ve given away some along the way.

I don't own any ducks (yet), but I adore Call ducks. They are just the cutest little things. I also really like Welsh Harlequins.

They do. Really well.

I think we have close to thirty right now, most of the original females and a few of the males, died. Some may have wandered off, as they were free-range at one time, and wandered around our property.

We have one mixed drake that got attacked by an eagle twice, and is still standing! His name is eagle bait!
