I see a single comb from the OP’s post. It is not a Brahma. But I do agree with the others that it resembles a Cochin. Curious to see how that little one feathers out.

I had a day old Partridge Cochin male and Partridge Cochin female. Both of them did not have the pattern like that instead just really fluffy brown. I'm guessing it's a Brahma but not a dark Brahma. My dark Brahma baby was, well, darker.

The photo of the OP, had a single comb chick in their. Brahma have a pea comb.

I ordered a batch of broilers from McMurray and received an extra chick. Any ideas the breed? Feather footed with chipmunk pattern.

Cutest chick ever! I vote cochin. I had 4 baby dark brahmas this spring, none had stripes, all were much darker. All grew nice grey/black feathers and white heads. My light brahmas were lighter yellow, and are white with black. No stripes there, either. Send us a photo when he's got some real feathers to satisfy our curiosity!

Could be a Maran of sorts. Kind of looks like a couple we have.
