I’ve got duck eggs due to hatch Feb 28th but I’m not sure they’ll hatch. They were from a young breeding couple so I don’t have high hopes but we will see!

My eggs are finished. I candled the remaining and no movement. Just went in the air cell to check on most of them (not all, too many). Three had internally pipped then died, which was sad to see. The others def for the most part were nowhere near ready to hatch. Probably too late in the season to try again.

Having to ship eggs it’s getting harder and harder to find people willing to do it! I really wanted some Mille fleur pekins but even in December struggled to find a breeder.

Yes thats true.... most are hanging onto what they have at the moment.

There were some MF birds for sale in Invercargill a few weeks ago

The furthest away. I see there's some roos on TM at the moment in NP, not the best patterned but would've been a start, but logistics are a nightmare lol

Yeah agree. The pet couriers are so blimmin expensive

Yes! And we can’t just get day old chicks shipped in the post like in the US
