had to put one of Monday's hatchlings down due to leg issues. Tried to fix the leg but was not staying and I do not have the time for it.

I asked my tender-hearted boy what we should do. He said it was failing to thrive and needed to be put down.

My silkie egg's arrived today, and all 16 will be going into my incubator tomorrow. None were broken nor showed sign's of being cracked when I candled them. They are resting now in an egg carton.

I didn't want to handle them too much right now. They need to rest for now. I will check them again tomorrow as I put them into my incubator. I had ordered a dozen, but she sent me 16. I already sent her an email back to let her know how they arrived.

Yes, and they only had to travel from the next state over from me.

Mine are coming almost 600miles about 3 states away, closer than last year, though.

I set 12 eggs on the 7th. Lavender Orpingtons, and a few RIR, one Barred Rock, and a Welsemmer crossed with my Lavender Orpington. Had one quitter sometime after the 5th day. Lock down is Monday. Can't wait to see what we get from the crosses!
