Lol, My guy is pretty much a chicken hater so I really think he'd draw the line at a house chicken. He tolerates my wanting to breed them and such but has an innate dislike of them as he was the sole caretaker for his families chickens for years and doesn't even eat eggs lol. He grumbles when I mention we need to build more facilities soon lol

I don't have a cat or kid's to fool with my incubator or brooder. I keep those in a spare bedroom. I am sure that these silkies being so small is going to be different for me. I already have my naked neck/breese mixed flock that are laying good with large egg's, and my rooster is doing his job well.

I have 20 cats, I’m surprised even one silkie made it. (Don’t worry i live in country and they are outside most of the time) But since Michigan has -40° weather that’s when we had to bring some cats inside an accidents happen.

I live rural too! Had a cat year's ago, but he got old and died. Have a big dog now, and he's starting to get old too. I'm in the Arizona valley desert, so it doesn't get as cold here.

Lol Yeah he knows I'd never have a dog that small My smallest of the 4 dogs we have weighs about 40lbs, the largest about 115lbs. I'd have a better shot at saying it's a cat and just attaching some ears
