February Hatch-A-Long

Have had staggered hatches running for about 4 months and have 7 groups in so far to hatch in February.
I haven't had much success so far but learning a lot along the way.

How do you do staggered hatches?

I am planning on ordering another 'bator. Probably going to stick with the same company - but go to the Genesis 1588... For now, I'm thinking I'll do just the two 'bators. Later, I might do a third, but totally not sure at the moment.

Candling eggs at the beginning does help eliminate damaged eggs. Cracks and weak/ malformed shells are not always easy to see. I never candle my own eggs at the start; only shipped eggs. With my own eggs I candle at the 5th or 6th day and discard those that are clear or have DIS.

My wife has done staqgered hatches in her bator. She simply removes chicks as they hatch.

There is another breeder in my state, but our entire state is in the double negatives for the next week.
