It is quite a gamble. These were packed well and seemed to arrive in good shape. Who knows, but the trio more than pays for the eggs so I am happy there.

That's a bummer, but thankfully you got the trio!

Day 20 here and we've got at least 4 pips and lots of chirps! We have my son's Valentine's party for kindergarten this afternoon so he's really wound up about me giving him "chick information" when I get to his school lol.

Got 1 pip and 1 other that’s rocking and chirping. It’s *so hard* to resist opening the incubator!! I want to help them along - what if the one that hasn’t pipped, can’t? I may have to leave the house!

Lockdown day! Auugh, there are so many of the quail eggs that are moving and twitching! It's so awesome to see visible signs of life and impending hatch if all goes well!

My valentines day hatch, 1 guinea fowl and 1 belgian duccle milliefluer. They are stuck in the hatcher for a while because the batch following them have already started to pip.

We got to watch the whole thing, our 4 year old is flipping out
And truthfully so am I lol. Only 30 something more to go...

I have jumped into the hatching! Set my first batch of my own eggs tonight. I just couldn't wait any longer to do it! Now to save up eggs for the next incubator (this was just the first incubator of 3 lol) 22 of my cross breed barn gems. I've only checked the incubator four times since i set them 3 hours ago.

When is the first day I can candle to check for life?
