14 hrs after first pip. this is still progress, no helping yet. Nope not gunna- even if some one says..."what about...." nope.

I can't believe I've only had one out of 7 eggs hatch! Did I do something wrong? All the eggs developed nicely, but never hatched 😭😭😬
So sorry to read this! 🙁Sometimes this just happens, they go into lockdown looking great and then they don't hatch. You can do eggtopsies, sometimes it helps to identify what happended. Did they internally pip?
Malpositioning is often the cause. Sometimes they internally pip into a vein which is usually fatal. You can see blood in the aircell usually. Sometimes they can not tolerate the transition from non air to air. Many reasons, not always anything you did.

Can a person lock down earlier than the due date? My hatch started early so I did not get the 3 days. I don't know what it would hurt. Like start 5 or 6 days ahead of time. Remove turner and set the eggs on the steel grate.
So far none of the Silkie have hatched. 1 started to pip but never made it. Did not look shrink wrapped.
The other chickens that hatched very active really moving the eggs all over the incubator, I don't know if that creates any problems. They are dried off and out now in brooder doing well.
Before I left the turner in did not realize I need to pull it out.. oppps.
Maybe I need start new thread?
Thanks

Thank you, I might just do that before I throw them away.
