@Farmer Connie is an expert at treating splayed leg. :D. Hope your chick gets better. :love

I had a chick that had splayed legs, I put on a bandaid to bring in the legs, don't make the bandaid too tight on the legs though. This did help. I am not sure what is wrong with your chick though.

Try the band aid, or a piece of vet wrap works good too. it seems cruel, but better to do it now. I usually wait 24 hours, because sometimes it takes them a bit to get their legs under themselves, but after 24-36 hours, probably best to band them for a day or two.

I’m glad we can relate, and I really hope our chicks hatch. Best of luck to you, and I’m sorry I can’t give you any extra tips. I’m not exactly a chicken expert yet:)
Ok, so i just had to peek and candle (all the humidity loss stories scare me so i didn't want to open the bator) I candled one egg and it was completely dark, could see no air sack :( 2nd egg I candled I could see the air sac and movement when i tapped it, and when i placed it back into the bator, it kept rolling around, and my bator is on a flat surface so definitely alive...i didn't candle the last one..

Band aids are either TOO sticky or not sticky enough. The glue is unpredictable.

I like the simplicity of this and the STRESS-LESS removal if the band aid company decides to give you too much cement to deal with.;)
