If you read the article you might notice it stated the english outcrossed them because they didn't like the small body size. It wasn't about egg production, it was about size.

The four lines have different genes.
The terminal crosses produce better, consume less and are smaller than the original leghorns.
They also burn out faster because they lay through winters and they need more balanced feed.

So you're in Europe. Your strains are almost certainly not the same as those in the USA.

Makes sense, but having different lines does not make them a hybrid.
Show breeders of various breeds get their birds from varying lines or vreate their own. That doesn't make their breeds hybrids. Lines are basically pedigrees.

I have had leghorns for 3 years. My 3yr old hens still lay an egg a day and I got them from a production hatchery line. Hy-Line.

White leghorns are OUTbred. Not CROSSbred.
The purpose is to make them better money makers.
They are the most capitalistic animal in the world.

Pure breeds can be linebred or outbred.
The purpose is a balance between production and responsee to the features of the breed.

I mainly use the strains of hy-line US and of dominant CZ.
They are available in Greece and so in many other countries.

What is dominant CZ? You have US Hy-Line in Greece?

English leghorns have exactly the same size as the heritage ones of the other places.
Only the tails differ because standards want to set different criteria.
