3' to 4' drifts outside and a Meadowlark just flew over the house.

First sighting of a meadowlark normally means it is spring. It ain't spring here.

It was 89° here yesterday. Not ready for that!

The Phoebes are back and have already started nest building. Every winter a Harrier (marsh hawk) has hunted the fields along the beagle club lane. One arrived last week but only stayed in the area one day.

Yesterday's high temperatures brought out the dog ticks. Was only at the club for an hour this morning, and have picked off 4 crawling on me.

It was 89° here yesterday. Not ready for that!

It was easily 80 here today. Turkeys are hot and panting and the AC was blasting in my truck at work.

We had someone at work today get bit by a tick already. This feels more like June than early April...

Haven't seen 'white bird' in a week or so. She has probably headed to her summer range.
