My EE (my only green egg layer) hatched her brood about 4 weeks ago and has started laying again about 1 week ago. I want to start a batch in the incubator but I am wondering about using her eggs.
I have not see the roo breed her.
What are the chances that she is fertile?

I would crack one open and look for the 'bulls eye' to see if it is firtile first

when my dad's scovy hen hatched her eggs we took the ducklings to raise ourselves b/c some were dying in her care and a week later she started laying eggs again. i put 9 in my new incubator and out of the 9, 8 are fertile and developing

that was just one week after her first hatch!

Roosters know when a hen is about to start laying after raising chicks and they will rarely pass up an opportunity. I'm betting that her eggs are fertile.
