I finished the outdoor pen area around the coop today. Just for fun I opened the chick door to see what the kids would do. They peeked their heads out of the door and were trying to stretch their necks to reach the grass without leaving the coop. The funny thing is when 20 chicks all try to do this at once they push the 6 or 7 in the front out of the door and onto the grass. They squawked and hurried quickly to jump back into the coop. I guess it will take them a while to appreciate the great outdoors
