I trap them, kill them and then cook them in a crock pot and feed them to the hens. Free protein and revenge served like dinner to my girls!

I very much dislike coons. They are perhaps the number one cause of things that go bump in the night around my place. I am unsure what good they are in the natural environment, but I do know they are no good in mine. Down with coons…

Coons live in loose colonies. If you catch one coon, then you likely only have another dozen or so to dispatch before your chickens are safe.

I lost one of my Peking ducks last night but got the bob-cat this morning when it came back for the goslings ......

So sorry about the loss and know just how you feel as I have lost many chickens, ducks, geese and guinea over the years to domestic and wild predators ......

Yeah I had built up my flock this spring with my personal hatches, brown leghorns , EE, white leghorns , buff Minorca , all of them gone in one short week. There was four in the henhouse the other night. I finally found where they got in though

. When they killed this pullet on my shoulder it just took my heArt out. I hatched her in February and she loved setting on my shoulder. I miss her so so much
