Finally Grit Question Solved

Your roosters don't need the extra calcium, what's in their feed is enough for them. Small gravel from outside would be better. I've seen small bags of chicken grit online, your boys are old enough.

What is granite?? And how to find it

Granite is a type of rock that is a composite of quartz, silica and mica. It breaks up fairly easily over time. Like all rocks, it becomes smaller and smaller until finally it becomes sand. The exact type of rock isn't as important as finding something small but still gritty. The size is similar to the bigger particles in chick starter.

Hello dear ..
I've two 6 months old Leghorn roosters they are my pets
As I don't having coop (I live in flat) so they run in my home all over and on my roof
They eat regular chicken feed , boiled egg half daily. ,scratch (millet only) as they don't like other seeds .. More over then that occasional treats like boiled rice , potatoes , pumpkin , and all others veggies ..right now they just love millet cause of winter nowadays ..
Like I mentioned, they don't always need grit, depending on what they eat.
@lazy gardener, with that food, do you think they'll need it? But even if they don't, I suppose it'll still be nice to keep some on hand, just in case you give them something they can't digest properly without it. :) I'm not an expert on this, though, obviously, so I should be done trying to help for now, lol. Plus, plenty of others are helping you. <3

Did you order that grit yet? Save yourself some money. That is too small to meet the needs of a chicken! And it's loaded with calcium. You can see the bits of oyster shell in it. If you do a google search on Amazon.com for CHICKEN GRIT, you will find plenty of options. If I recall correctly, from a previous thread, you were concerned b/c your birds were eating pebbles from your drywall that had paint on them, yes? Can you go out into the countryside and find some pebbles that do not have paint on them? If so, those will be sufficient. Size should be .3 - .6 cm. But, if you simply give them a scoop of soil with pebbles in it, they will pick out what they need.

I agree, what you linked is pet bird size grit, for small birds like parakeets. As a chicken is larger it needs larger rocks for grit. Since you seem to be having trouble finding grit to buy, I think if you can find some plain, rocky soil (nothing with construction debris like drywall... just some rocky soil that's dug out of the ground or taken from a riverbed), your chickens will pick out the stones that are the right size for them.
