Rude? How DARE him!! Sweetie! You remind him who he works for! YOU! Your insurance payments pay his wages, lest he forget that!! Of all the nerve! Especially after everything you've been through! That really chaps my hide!

Well, *sigh* I guess at this point, you just have to slog through it, ill tempered insurance adjuster and all. Be as nice as you can. I know it won't be easy. As much as you'd like to give him a piece of your mind at his lack of courtesy, it doesn't pay to make him mad. They can make it all the more difficult to get that check. Smarmy little turds!! I've never been fond of claims adjusters...can ya tell?

Hope there are no more flair ups in your area. At least now, you're a little less vulnerable to wildfires since this one has pretty much cleansed the area of undergrowth for the next few years. Hang in there sweetie! Brighter days will return soon. I think maybe the worst is over.

Yeah, he kept calling my husband "Bub." It was really annoying. We'll see how it goes when this guy shows up--which is supposed to be between 2 & 5pm today...
thanks!

Just from experience, i suggest hiring an indepdant adjuster. We got screwd~ Wish i had a second quote to have . It would have forced them to come up a little~

Well, luckily, we're still starting out with a lot of things. We need new furniture anyway--but I didn't want to get it this way! LOL We don't even have too much smoke damage. One of our neighbors had smoke damage so bad, he's got to rebuild everything.

Thank you!

Holy Smokes! I have dial up so I couldn't watch your videos but that picture is CRAZY!!! Man oh man that's too close for comfort. Glad your family and animals are safe!

Oh Heather, I just found this thread, how SCARY!! I am so glad you are ok and your family and critters, most important!! Please let me know when you are ready for more eggs, NO CHARGE, I will send them right out!! I think you deserve a break girl!!

Oh Vicki--that is so nice of you to offer! Of course, last night I get a phone call from Sandhill that my chicks are on their way--well, about two of what I ordered! The others, were all replaced with random breeds I had no interest in--so I canceled my order. She was nice enough to waive the fee--but I cannot even think about baby chicks right now...although my mom said it would be a good distraction...I just need to wait until the fire is 100% contained (it's about 80, now)....

And then, YES--I'd love some more eggs...perhaps the third time is the charm? LOL
