Fire!!! Evacuated! *UPDATE* PAGE 4 we made it...barely! VIDEO!

You have my thoughts and prayers - here in San Diego County we have twice had mega fires that shut everything down. The first one took out my dad's house and property - Be ready, Be Safe!

We have been there twice. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, all your animals and neighbors.

Thinking of you, and hoping your guys are all right.

From the info on the news three Okanagon Counties were evacuated last night and they are not fighting the fire at this time, they are just trying to save houses and structures............................

Hope they left the sprinklers and water running, it's terribly hot.

I came home across the State from a vacation on the coast on Thursday and it was 108 between Moses Lake and Sprague Lake. I think it was 101 between Ellensburg and Vantage.

Hello everyone...I came to town to wash up at work, check my email and brought down my 'bator. I doubt the eggs are salvagable but I was going to try....

We lost power last night--the fire is still smoldering in our backyard. Our neighbors on Fox Mountain lost everything---their home, barn with horses trapped inside and their dog who was in the home. The fire moved so fast that there was nothing that anyone could do. I got all THREE of my cats and four of the horses. One dog (the other is with his handler in Yakima) and almost all of my birds out. I'm heading back up towards home to look around some more...it looks like the moon up there...everything is gone around us....we got really lucky that we had such a big (green) lawn and a metal roof...but we're still not out of the woods yet....we have 120+ dry grass acres across the highway from us--and if the winds pick up like they did last night--it could be very bad....FIL is in the backhoe making a fire line....

If I owe you eggs or birds...I'll let you know what comes out of this mess alive...I do know that I had to throw everyrthing in together in the back of the horse trailer...so I won't be selling any purebred eggs for a few weeks.

Thanks for all of the kind words....I'm just hoping & praying our house and my nearly completed coop make it through...

I'm so relieved to see you post equibling!! I had feared the very worst, watching the news last night! If there is any way in which I can help, I hope you'll give me a call.

So sorry to hear about your friends on Fox mountain. That's a very thick area in some spots and it doesn't surprise me that there wasn't time to save anything. One flying ember could wipe out everything in a heart beat.

Holding you and your family in my prayers, along with the firefighters who work so tirelessly to save what we hold dear to us.

God, please grant them the strength and energy to protect what we cannot.
