Fire!!! Evacuated! *UPDATE* PAGE 4 we made it...barely! VIDEO!

Hi Sunny,

The article that Heather linked too gives road names and areas that are evacuated, but, unless you're very familiar with the Okanogan country, it might not mean anything to you.

The area affected is about a two hour drive (or less depending on how you drive

) north of the Wenatchee area. Or, if you prefer, the North Central Columbia Basin area. Or, about an hour and a half south of the Canadian border. If you were coming from Seattle, I think it's about a 4 hour drive east and then north as soon as you clear the Cascade mountains.

Does that help you? Hope that anyone you know in Washington State are well clear of this one. It sounds very bad from what we've heard on the news. I'm about a 2+ hour drive south east of Heather myself, near Spokane. We can see the smoke all this way east from that fire! It's making for some spectacular sunsets, but I just hate knowing the reason for it no matter how pretty it is.

Keep safe Heather. Post an update whenever you can.

Thank you again....it's still not over yet....but most of the worst fire hazards (pine trees, 100+ year old structures, etc have been burned already. Unless it comes from the west or north, we're okay)...for now.

coming at you.... what a terrible ordeal you have/are going through.....hope all is OK and that the fire does not restart..... will keep you in my prayers....................

Oh My Lord! The videos are amazing and you are one brave young lady.

I hope all continues to go well. Those videos are just frightening to watch and I'm so glad that you were able to save everything.

May God be with you and keep you safe.

Thank you! As long as the wind stays the same direction...and doesn't flip back around...we're probably going to be okay...the worst would be if it came down the highway....but usually it doesn't go down & the horses have eaten our pasture down quite a bit. The backhoe also is good for building a fire line out in the pasture....

Good to hear you are still safe..

I havent seen the videos. Have no idea where they are..
Any links?

Thinking of you and hoping for the best..

Keep us updated..

I sure hope they get the fire out soon.. Or it rains... That would help..
