Now Why do you think google is "VERY invasive program" ? It's no more invasive the fire fox. It's way safer. If you don't like google because it "watchers every thing you do" just disable cookies

hm.. seems like not using program that love to track you is the best solution.

disabling the cookies won't solve problem.. many website need cookies in order to preserve information or save information about visit to their website and that's not security breach since they're not storing your personal information like email, user id or password. What they track is like page you visit (in their website), time of visit, etc.

yap, it's true. Simply look at your cookie and you'll find out punbb_cookie that's made by byc. Again.. be calm.. they're not stealing our personal information.

what to be aware is using untrusted software that usually being injected by spyware or adware.. that's much more dangerous..

for browser, I do recommend (although I'm not a super expert of security) to not using a browser that already installed by default if you're using this most used operating system ( you know what I mean) this browser is like a hell to web developer, it ruins what we've already create and work in most browser.

and worse, it's too much easily be injected by malware and homepage hijacker. ( I've suffer this myself since I use 6 browsers)

I have not heard any more complaining so everything is good now as far as we know. He said once he unplugged it from the power source and started it all up it was real slow but ok now.

Take a look at a file called "urlclassifier3.sqlite" in your Mozilla folder, this is a file that grows and grows, what it is, is a gigantic file that your FF browser downloads from Google every day, and adds to it on the fly as you browse.

Google, much like the ol' cartoon Savoir-Faire, is everywhere.
