First Egg Of The Season - - Anyone Else Get One?

I'm up to 4 pea eggs so far. 4 more and we got a batch to hatch!

Yippee! I got my first one last night and it looks like the other two are going to lay tonight or tomorrow! I don't remember them being so big, lol. Here is a picture of it with some turkey eggs. From left to right - Pea (118 grams), BBW (105 grams), RP (85 grams) and EW (64 grams)

I used a marker last year and a bunch of my pea eggs didn't hatch, but those eggs that didn't hatch were under the hens and ducks that weren't properly broody. The eight eggs that I put under Turkey Mama and my Buff Japanese hen all hatched fine, but they were the only two that rarely left their nest.

This year, since I'll be using the incubator, I think I'd like to be be as careful as possible.

I put 2 Taupe and 3 Purple eggs in Wednesday nite as everyone else is on strike here

I used a marker on a few duck eggs. Waiting to see if they hatch. I usually use a crayon. :/

I have no idea as far as the pea eggs. I don't think I had a full incubator last year. But I think mine may hold no more than 10. :/

I found 2 today in 2 different spots. One was in the community duck nest, and isn't covered in duck mud! Wooooo!
