Sparkle, one of my late February-born sex-link / Lohmann Brown chickens has started laying. She laid her first one on July 30, and it was a reasonably large one.
The next two we found were laid yesterday (Aug 2) and today (Aug 3), and much smaller .
Is it normal for the first one to be so big?
(Her sister Rocky is close to laying, too but I'm 100% certain eggs 1 and 3 are from Sparkle)
